WorldView is a multicultural living and learning cooperative, to equip and motivate Christians of every culture and vocation to become effective bicultural disciples and messengers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
By becoming a part of the WorldView community you will participate in an intensive residential training in a Christian intercultural living cooperative that will: - Give you experience in the process of cross-cultural adaptation and functioning.
- Develop essential skills for cross-cultural work through a "living laboratory."
- Provide practice for refining social, cultural, and interpersonal skills.
The living is part of the learning. This will give students from other countries and cultures the opportunity to meet, gain a greater understanding and enjoy the advantages of a supportive environment along with North American students who are undergoing cross-cultural training with a view toward ministry in other cultures. A variety of social and cultural activies are organized at WorldView Center to help residents: - Practice the disciplines of Christian living.
- Give and receive emotional and cultural support.
- Prepare for handling cultural stress.
- Grow as an "extended" family - a special need for those from group-oriented cultures.
